The founders: Claude and Max de Lussac

It all began in 1966. Claude and Max de Lussac created a leisure spot for Tourangeaux, offering fishing, swimming and tennis in a tranquil setting. In 1968, the first campers settled near the lake, and three years later, the Fierbois campsite joined the Campings Castels family.

All the children help keep this little corner of paradise running during the summer, and the seasonal workers are students, often foreigners, who stay in the family home. And the shows are put on by everyone, children of the family, seasonal workers and campers alike. On the culinary side, it all began with the restaurant opened in 1970, joined by a pizzeria in 1985. And since 2005, the poolside bar has been serving up entertainment and snacks all day long.

In 2022, Régis passes the torch to his brother Guillaume, joined in 2023 by his wife Christine. A company of this size is now quite heavy for a single pair of shoulders: it takes two to steer this liner!

Our mission is first and foremost to train the new generation that has joined us … We are convinced that family businesses are treasures to be cherished, not only within a family, but also on a local level …
It’s an opportunity for our customers to come and meet our commitments, which are very important to us. For us, it means resisting too much standardization to offer an original experience in the rough diamond of nature that is the Parc de Fierbois.
We promise to keep you posted ….
